Impart quality education for better tomorrow: Bhalla to teachers

Jammu, Feb 17: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla has said annual day functions of the institutions are not only provide platform to the students in presenting their hidden talent, but also intimate them about the culture and heritage of the State.
Bhalla appreciated the school management in organising such type of wonderful function in the sprawling premises of the school which was not only applauded by the audience.
He urged upon the students to take part in co-curricular activities side by side besides academic education for their overall personality development.
The Minister said this while addressing students, staff and parents at the annual day function of Kotwal National Institute of Teaching (KNIT) at Gajay Singhpura in Sangrampura, here today.
Director School Education Gulzar Ahmed Qureshi, Secretary Board of School Education M S Bloeria, Director KNIT Jia Lal Kotwal and other senior officers of School Education Department were present on the occasion.
Bhalla asked the teaching fraternity to make concerted efforts to ensure better future for students who are the future builders of the nation.
The Minister said for facilitating the students in conducting extra curricular activities in a systematic manner, a prestigious state- of-the-art auditorium has started at Govt Girls' High School Gandhi Nagar here adding that the project would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 8 crore.
Bhalla informed that 19000 sq ft area auditorium would be fully air-conditioned with facilities for projector room, toilet, dressing room and VIP room, adding on the completion of auditorium.
The students of the different classes presented a colourful cultural programme which was highly appreciated by the huge gathering.
On the occasion, the Minister distributed mementos among the meritorious students who brought laurels during 2010-11 examinations.
