Anuradha Rishi strives to paint Jammu on her canvas | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 17: The renowned international painter Anuradha Rishi has taken up the big task of painting the Jammu on her Canvas. Anuradha Rishi is working to depict the complete picture of Jammu on her canvas since last one year, where she expresses her feelings about the Jammu. She also nourishes the ambition to cover the projection of Dal Lake in her paintings. Rishi is a fascinating painter of Himalayan nature, the beauty, Vagary and effervescence of whose art works is spell-binding. Her father and Guru, Master Sansar Chand Baru was the renowned and revered artist of Jammu and Kashmir, practicing Pahari painting which is a distinct school of painting, the Mughal miniatures, Basholi and kangra school of paintings the body of art that defines Indian creativity in the middle ages. As a leading landscapist, she is proud to represent Jammu and Kashmir as her father, once did. She represents India as well as Jammu and Kashmir when she exhibits outside the country. She works mostly with oil paints. Her 2008 show at the "Kala kendra" Jammu was a land mark achievement in her career as artist which was inaugurated by than Governor of J&K Lt. Gen (Rtd) S K Sinha on 15th of Aug. In her own views, she said "I love my 'SARZAMEEN' from the core of my heart, how can I forget this ' MATREEBHOOMI' (motherland) where first I saw this land and feel the birth of myself , the people who help me to take my all footsteps".
