JMC conducts anti-encroachment drive | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 17: The Enforcement wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) led by Chief Enforcement Officer while further continuing and intensifying the anti-encroachment drive, the team today cleared footpaths / pavements, parts of road sides in the areas of Gandhi Nagar, Nai Basti, Satwari, Ashok Nagar and Shastri Nagar. During the drive the team seized 2 mini truck loads of materials / goods/ articles like Counters, Juicer Machines, Trunks, Wipers, Tyres, Folding Beds, Creates, Brooms, Sign Boards, Brushes, Chiks etc which were kept by the shopkeepers / vendors by encroaching upon footpaths / pavements on road sides thereby causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and also creating obstruction in the free movements of vehicular traffic. The anti-encroachment drive has been carried out with active co-operation and assistance of police force from Gandhi Nagar and District Police lines, Jammu deputed for the aforesaid purpose. The drive was conducted under instructions from JMC Commissioner SC Sawhney. |
