Div Com briefs media about mela schedule | 3- day Shiv Khori Mela from Feb 19 | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 17 : Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kotwal said that pilgrim tourists flow at Shiv Khori shrine has considerably increased adding that 30% increase has been registered for the last many consecutive years. This was stated while addressing a press Conference here today. He informed the media persons that the department of Tourism, Jammu in collaboration with District Administration, Reasi and Shiv Khori Shrine Board is organizing three day Shiv Khori Mela from February 19 at ShivKhori, the famous abode of Lord Shiva. The Divisional Commissioner briefed about the main attraction of the three day programme including Pujan for Shoba Yatra, Cultural procession from Hotel Tridev to Darshani Deodi, inauguration of Mela at Darshani Deodi, Exhibition stalls at TRC Complex, Cultural Programme by Academy of Art, Culture & Languages & local NGOs. On 20th February, cultural programme by Song & Drama Division at TRC, Ransoo will be organized besides on 21st February, Wrestling Competition by Indian Style Wrestling Association at Government High School, Ransoo at 1.30 p.m. onwards, he added. It was informed that the wide publicity will be done through installing Flex Hoardings/Banner, promotional Scrolls in Take 1 Channel, Spots in Big 92.7 FM, Advertisement in local dailies and advertisement on Social networking site. It was informed that the festival will be inaugurated by Minister for Tourism & Culture, Nawang Rigzin and Minister for State for Tourism Nasir Aslam Wani. |
