| Tight security arrangements in Jammu ahead of Shivratri | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 18 : Tight security has been put in place ahead of the two-day Shrivratri celebration in this winter capital of the state. While temples were decorated with buntings and flowers, security has also been beefed up across the Temple City for smooth and incident-free celebrations. Additional policemen and para-military troops have been deployed at all famous temples of Lord Shiva including Aap Shambhu, Raghunath Temple, Peerkho, Shiv-Parvati Temple, Shiv Dham and Shiv Khori cave shrine situated in Reasi district. ''We have made special security arrangements at all temples and people have been appealed to cooperate while parking their vehicles around the temples,'' a police official said. Arrangements have been made for the devotees coming to offer prayers to avoid congestion in temples, he informed. Special buses would run from Jammu to Shiv Khori for the pilgrims to pay obeisance at the cave shrine. |
