EJAC to hold employees conference on Feb 21 | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 18: J&K Govt. Employees Joint Action Committee (R) major constituent of the JCC today stated that a day long convention of employees of state would be organized on Feb 21 at Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Jammu to chalk the further strategy to impress upon govt for their long pending demands. In a press conference here today the speakers referring to the demands especially in regard to full implementation of agreement held between the JCC and Government on 15th of September 2011 asked the frame the policy about the regularization of daily wagers of all Departments who are suffering since long. Ram Kumar Sharma (State President), Rafeeq Khanyari, Balwan Singh Jamwal, Babu Hussain Malik, Parshotam Sharma, Yash Pal, K.A. Dewani, Syeda Ladakhi, Madan Sangral, Bharat Bhushan, and others in this joint media interactions said that the issues of the employees as per agreement have not been settled and call upon ail the daily-wagers of different Departments to unite together and come around the JCC.They further asked the Government to remove disparities of the clerical cadre and anomalies of different cadres within a specific time frame as per the agreement signed between the JCC and Government. Ram Kumar Sharma stressed upon the Government to release the funds for first installment of the Sixth Pay Commission arrears at earliest as per the commitment with the employees leaders and also submit the report for enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 as per the commitment signed between JCC and Government on 15th of September 2012. The speakers also informed that J&K Govt Employees Joint Action Committee (R) and other three faction of EJAC (Q), EJAC (K), EJC (A) umbrella platform of Joint Consultative Committee of J&K employees have jointly organized one day state level convention of the delegates at Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Krishna Nagar, Jammu in which the representatives and activists of different unions/ organizations/ associations/federations of three regions, of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh will participate to chalk the further strategy for agreed demands. Speakers said if the state government fails to concede the demands within stipulated period, there will be left no other option before the employees but to come on the streets again. |
