| VC releases Ravi , news letter of GDC | | | early times report
KATHUA, Feb 18: Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar released "R?VI" the Newsletter of Government Degree College, Kathua at a function organized in his honour in the College auditorium. Principal of the College Dr. Nater Singh presented the welcome address on the occasion. He said that it is a great moment for the college that an August Alumnus of the college has been elevated as the Vice-Chancellor of University of Jammu. From Kathua to Vice-Chancellor's Chamber at Jammu, Prof. Ishar's life is literally a story of success through sheer hard work and determination. He is an institution in himself and our young generation shall take inspiration from him.
On this occasion Director Colleges, Madam Maqbul Chisty lauded the efforts of College Principal and Staff for taking the college to new heights. Prof. Ishar who was the Chief Guest on the occasion congratulated Principal and Staff of the College for working honestly and with dedication for this achievement. Prof. Ishar who is also the son of the soil said that he still remembers the days of his college life in Kathua. He also thanked his College teachers who made him to achieve such a great success. Earlier in the day a Herbal Garden having medicinal plants prepared by the Department of Botany was also inaugurated in the college by Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar. Another highlight of the day was a Guard of Honour by the N.C.C. Cadets of the College and a colourful cultural programme by the college students. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof. Neelam Thappa and Prof. Kiran Bala. Finally Dr. N.K. Gupta concluded the programme by presenting 'Vote of thanks' in a very impressive and interesting manner. |
