C R Radio FM 90.40 formally inaugurated

Jammu, Feb 18: C R Radio Shardha 90.4 FM was today formally inaugurated by renowned film personality K K Raina and former Chief Secretary Vijay Bakaya at a function here today. A galaxy of intellectuals, artists and poets attended the function. The Sharda Radio situated at Buta Nagar quarters has been set by Pir Panchal a Cultural, Educational, Social, Educational and Sports (CESES). The radio was also put on online later for listeners from all over the globe. Speaking on the occasion K K Raina while appreciating the role of Pir Panchal for taking the initiative in preserving and promoting the culture and language among the displaced people of Kashmir. He said secular fabric and aptitude maintain is essence of Kashmiriyat and ``we should highlight our problems but not try to hurt any body's feelings''. He stressed on producing very good and informative programs for younger generation which has lost touch with language and culture.
Raina said the older people have nostalgia about Kashmir but if the programs are taken to youth you have to produce programs which inspire, involve and interest them. He stressed on creation of such programs which take the attention of youth. Expressing hope that community radio Station will move forward, he said it is playing emotional chord. To make it more popular the programs for the youth should be given preference, he added. Bakaya described the community Radio Station as a source of inspiration for the youth and progeny to remain in touch with Kashmiriyat through art, culture and language. He assured all help to Pir Panchal for running the Community radio effectively.
He also appreciated the role of community who he said has resilience to face all odds and can grow. The community has suffered an immense loss and there are no yardsticks with which it can be measured. He said the community has come out of adversity and we can talk to the community through this radio station.
Pir Panchal president Ramesh Hangloo in his address said that the concept of establishing the radio station was strengthened by Give 2 Asia, who inspired the organization for this great venture. He said every care will be taken to strengthen the tools of Kashmiriyat through language, music and culture. The program was compared by program executive Manoj Jad and others Vijay Koul, general secretary Pir Panchal, Mukesh Kumar, Rakesh Khar, J K Raina, Manmohan Wazir and Ravi Kachroo. The radio station will also broadcast Shiv Ratri Pooja tomorrow on 7-30 pm live.
