J&K Bank enters final of Sher-e-Kashmir Football | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 18: Defending champions, Jammu and Kashmir Bank today qualified for final after the side outplayed a local club, Young Hero 5-1 in the ongoing 3rd Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football Tournament at GGM Science College, here. Showing their complete dominance on the field, Bank first take an invincible four goals lead in the first half and then further improved the score after the breather to make it a big 5-1 win in the semifinals. Now, the professional side of J&K Bank shall take on the winner of the second semifinals, to be played between J&K Forest and J&K Police tomorrow, in the title clash. Earlier, start striker, Rizwan Sheikh opened the bank's account netting the ball in 10th minute. Bilal Ahmed added two goals in 20th and 37th minute of the match. Wasim Firoz was another man to contribute to the tally by striking in the 35th minute. Later, in the second half of the play, Rizwan Sheikh made his second goal in 72nd minute. From Young Hero, Sanjeev reduced the margin in the 65th minute. For the foul play, Jonny Kumar of J&K Bank was shown a yellow card by the center referee. Today's semifinal was officiated by Rakesh Kumar (center), Vijay Kumar, Sohan Lal and Koushal Kumar. |
