Farooq says NC waiting for 'final word' from AICC President Ms Gandhi
Fate of Peerzada still hangs in uncertainty

Jammu, Feb 18: National Conference President and Union Minister Farooq Abdullah today dropped a bomb shell by claiming that the last word on the fate of the Peerzada Mohd Sayeed is yet to be heard declaring a state of emergency for the said minister whose name recently was embroiled in 'Examgate 2009.'
Interacting with the media persons here at the party headquarters after chairing the Provincial executive committee meeting Union Minister Farooq Abdullah told reporters,
"I do not know what really Sonia Gandhi has done about Congress Minister Peerzada Mohd Sayeed."
"The final word is yet to come from the Congress President. I don't think they had time to think over it. The final decision on the matter will come during one of these days once she is through with her electioneering," said Farooq.
Responding to the wholly of questions on the resignation drama enacted by tainted congress minister and whether National Conference was unhappy why Peerzada chose to submit his resignation to the congress President instead of Chief Minister, Abdullah said, "If Gandhi has to say some thing on the issue of his resignation it will come through from her office. All of us will know what is her opinion on the matter. Let us not thrust something as having been said by Gandhi unless she herself says it."
He however clarified that there is nothing wrong in handing over resignation to the congress President. He said the National Conference is running a coalition govt with the congress party and it is up to the congress party to decide on the matter.
Speaking on the menace of corruption Dr Abdullah said corruption is a major issue in the country. No one wants to promote corruption. The Prime Minister is very clear on it, Sonia Gandhi is very clear and even the state CM is very clear about it that corruption has to be completely wiped out of the country.
Earlier while chairing meeting of Provincial Working Committee of J&K National Conference Jammu Province at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu party leaders discussed besides organizational issues and future course of strategy to strengthen the party at grass root level.
Interacting with party leaders Party President announced holding of Party elections, the process of which he said will be started within a weeks time.
Asking the party workers to strengthen the bonds of coalition at grass root, Farooq Abdullah exhorted the party activists to take the message of the government to the people and strengthen the bonds of the coalition at grass root.
He also called upon the party rank and file to gear-up for the upcoming Municipal and Local Bodies elections which have been announced by the government.
During the day long meeting the various resolutions were unanimously adopted which included that party resolution claiming coalition government headed by Omar Abdullah has successfully completed three years with record development in all spheres of life despite the fact that the government faced historic challenges.
In another resolution the NC unanimously demanded that government should on war footings assess the losses due to heavy snowfall in snow bound areas and ensure compensation to the sufferers.
NC leadership also appreciated that government has passed Public Service Guarantee Act & brought some vital departments under its purview, keeping in view the difficulties of the common masses. It was unanimously resolved and demanded in view of rising prices the wages of MGNREGA workers be enhanced & at the same time old age pensions & widow pensions be also enhanced to sustain the life of this section of the society.
