Legislators asked to keep up 'united face' Hakim Yasin, Tarigami remain absent | Cong Legislative Party meeting: | | Jammu: In the Legislative Party meeting , the Congress leadership continued its efforts to forge unity among the leaders who would hitherto fall in two factions, with almost all ministers and legislators attending the meeting which was convened this evening to discuss the strategy to be adopted by the party during the Assembly session beginning next week. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of J&K PCC chief Prof Saif-u-Din Soz in the guest of J&K Housing Department which continued late in the evening. Sources said the focus in the meeting remained that the party needed to maintain unity under all circumstances and put up a united face particularly when it is required in countering opposition attack over a host of issues which are likely to be raked up during the session. In the meeting the Congress leadership also took stock of the party preparedness in various districts and in the constituencies for forthcoming Local bodies polls which government intends to conduct soon after the session. In the meeting the matters related to election of the Legislative Council Chairperson and strategy to adopted was discussed . It was desired that the party legislators needed to follow the proper guidelines and ensure floor coordination to ensure that party candidate wins. In the meeting even though legislators of both the Houses belonging to party were present, the allies and members like PDF chairman Hakim Mohammad Yasin and CPM leader MY Tarigami remained conspicuous with their absence.
