ACC enters final of JPL Tawi Cup | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Feb 19: Amateur Cricket Club (ACC) today sailed into final of the Jammu Premier League (JPL) Tawi Cup after they trounced United Cricket Club (UCC) by six wickets in the first semifinal played at Sports Stadium, here. Batting first, after winning the toss, UCC set a target of 139 runs, which, in reply, ACC chased for the loss of four wickets. Paramjeet Singh was top scorer with 42 runs while Raman contributed 23. From ACC, Nipun took two wickets. In reply, ACC attained the goal with six wickets in hand. Balbir remained highest scorer contributing 46 runs, followed by Tarun, who contributed 36. Naresh bagged one wicket from UCC.For his match winning innings, Balbir Singh was declared man of the match. Earlier, in a quarterfinal encounter, ACC defeated Garhi Cricket Club by nine wickets. Batting first, Garhi Club bowled out for 74 runs, which, in reply, ACC chased in just nine overs losing one wicket. Saurav Sharma was declared man of the match for his brilliant bowling spell.
