| Trade unions to protest on Feb 28 in support of their demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 19 : A meeting of the representatives of various employees and workers of Central, State and Public Sector Trade Union was held today at Press Club Jammu in which members unanimously decided to support the nationwide 'protest call' on Feb 28.
The meeting presided over by the presidium comprising of Com Mohd Gafoor Dar, Com Ram Kumar Sharma, Com N K Dogra, Com Ashwani Pradhan, Com Rafiq Ahmed Khanyari and Com Balwan Singh Jamwal and others expressed their concerns over the present challenges being faced by the Employees and General Public. "The major issues which were highlighted included lack of social security, outsourcing of jobs, privatisation, contract system, adhocism and equal wages for equal work in all sectors and above all corruption in corporate system. After threadbare deliberations in the meeting, the representatives felt that a joint platform t project the problems of all employees thus unanimously form a front in the name and title of 'United Forum of Centre State Trade Unions (UFCSTU)'.
Thereafter the members present in the meeting were apprised that a protest will be organized in front of Press Club Jammu at 11 am on Feb.28, in support of the call given by All India Major Trade Unions. |
