Ex HM Commander praises 'Bharat' after returning from motivational tour
At last 'Op Sadhbhavna' gets a 'return gift'

Kishtwar, Feb 19: Former dreaded Hizb militant Commander Ghulam Mohammad Khandey after returning from 15 days educational cum motivational tour "Firdous-e-Watan" organized by 17 RR under Operation Sadbawna has regretted his decision to join the arm struggle against the union of India.
Former Hizb commander Khandey (45) who was among a batch of educational cum motivation tour for senior citizens returned with a changed mind and said that he has lost his precious years of his life and said that after seeing the development in other parts of the India. "We are thankful to army that they provide us an opportunity to see different parts of India by organizing such tours and we have never imagined that India is such a vast and developed country which we people can never imagine," said Khandey with words full of praise for Army which has undertaken many people friendly and welfare projects under Op Sadhbhavna.
Narrating his unique experiences during Bharat Darshan, he said, "When we compared the development with other parts of the country, our state lacks far behind." He said that army takes them to Belgaum, Goa and Cochin where they seen Indian naval ship used by the navy in 1965 and 1971 wars. Regretting his past, he said that he is not only one person who became the victim of arm struggle in Jammu and Kashmir but many were alienated during the turmoil which started in state in early 90s.
"There are many people like me who become the victim of ongoing arm struggle, but later realized its mistake," said Khandey a completely changed man.
"I advice to all the people to provide its helping hand to strengthen the democratic system in Jammu and Kashmir--- arm struggle will never achieve any fruitful result and it will only push us more towards darkness, " said Khandey who also had served jail term upto 5 years before he was released on bail by the court.
Earlier the tour was flagged in by Brigadier SS Prashad YSM,SM, Commandent 9 Sector RR at Helipad Kishtwar which was attended by prominent military and civil dignitaries. In his address he briefed the gathering about the projects undertaken by the Army under Op Sadhbhavna. The flagging in ceremony was attended by, Col NS Raja Subramani Dy CO 9 Sector RR, Additional SP Kishtwar Kulbir Singh, CO 17 RR Col Joydeep Mukharji, CO 11RR Karan Singh, CO CISF Kishtwar, Dy. SP Atholi Sanjay Rana and others.
