Sarpanchs , panchs vow not to let any member assembly, council or parliament to interfere

Rajouri, Feb 20: Large number of Panches and Sarpanches of district Rajouri held a district level Panchayat conference at district headquarter on Monday and announced that they will not allow any member assembly, council or member parliament to interfere in their Panchayat affairs as per JK Panchayati Raj act.
The day long panchayat conference was convened by Sarpanch Shafiq Mir of Panchayat halqa Poshana of border district Poonch .
The elected Panchayat members criticized the state government for its wrong promises made with the Panchayats and said that all the announcements made by the government so far were totally false and there was no reality on ground .
The Panchayat members gathered under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Conference (JKPC) announced to hold a protest demonstration on 25th of February at district head quarter Rajouri to express the resentment and anguish against the government for not implementing JK Panchayati Raj act in totality .
They also warned that if any attempt was made to dilute the state Panchayati Raj act they will not hesitate to stage a demonstration before the assembly and can go to any extent.
Demanding the implementation of 73rd amendment of Indian constitution regarding Panchayati Raj, Sarpanch Sahafiq Mir said that the empowerment of Panchayats was impossible until and unless this act is not extended to the state of Jammu and Kashmir state.
Mir said that article 370 is no hurdle in its implementation saying that by adopting a simple resolution in the state assembly any act of Indian constition can be exteneded to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
"It is the matter of regret that when ever government wanted to bring any act which was in its favour the article 370 never proved hurdle but when ever any public friendly act was to be extended the state government made the pretext of article 370. We will not allow such tactics any more", said Mir
Other prominent Sarpan-ches who spoke on the occasion were , Fazal Chowhan, Perveiz Malik , Omparkash, Balbir Kumar, Ashoke Kumar , Kashmir Singh, Shafi Chowdhary, Shoket Choudhary, Moham-mad Hanief, Zakir Malik, Mohd Ayoub, Kewel Kumar Sharma, Bader Hussain, Capt. Retd Joginder Singh , Balkrishan and others .
