DODA, Feb 20: Sarpanch Chiralla Panchayat of Thathri block, Master Fazal Alam Wani has demanded immediate restoration of power supply in several villages falling in the block.
He lamented that the power supply to different Panchayats, Bhallara, Bhatole, Batheree, Batogra, Bithola, Chagsoo, Chiralla, Dharyouth, Goila, Hallaran, Jagota, Jia, Joura, Kansoo, Kencha, Mallano, Nandna, Panshai, Upuneja, Rokali and Sunyarthawa was snapped after the recent snowfall, but it has not been restored by the Power Development Department (PDD). Wani has further appealed the government to ensure that work is started early to restore the supply and the snow bound roads are cleared so that people don't have to suffer further.
