JAMMU, Feb 20:Shree Ram Janki Mandir Welfare Association celebrated Maha Shivratri festival on 20th Feb, 2012 with great joy and enthusiasm.
Every year people of nearby locality participate in the function but this year various other followers of Lord Shiva came to the temple in the morning for offering special prayer to Lord Shiva. Hawan,Kanya Poojan and Bandara were also performed in the mandir. Main participants along with mahant of temple were Baba Ram Millan Dass, Raj Roop Singh Chib(Sarpanch),Pawan Kumar(Naib Sarpanch),Vijay Kumar(Panch),Toshi Devi(Panch), Sham Lal(Panch), Shankulta Devi(panch),Other organizers were Sh. Raj Kumar Baba, Pawan Sharma, Balbir Singh, Parth Singh, Raeev Joshi, MaharajKrishan, Madan ingh, Mintta Sharma, Kishore,Sharma, Beli Ram, Picha, and others.
On the occasion, Raj Roop Singh, Sarpanch said that temple is 400 years old and number of pilgrim visited this temple every year. Bandara organized every year in the festival of Maha Shivratri was celebrated. |
