DC Budgam distributes sweets among the Pandit families especially children on the eve of Hairath

BUDGAM, Feb 20: Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mohammad Rafi alongwith Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Shah Faisal and other officers of the district today visited Sheikhpora Pandit Colony Budgam and greeted them on the occasion of Shivratri "Hairath".
They wished them happiness and wellbeing. The Deputy Commissioner said that Jammu and Kashmir has rich tradition of celebrating festivals in amity and brotherhood. He said Shivratri observed by Kashmir pundits as "Hairath" has been traditional event of Hindu Muslim brotherhood and harmony. He expressed the hope that the love bonds between various sections of the society would get further strengthened. Rafi distributed sweets among the Pandit families especially children and prayed for peace and prosperity of the State.
