NC responsible for plight of Srinagar city: Karra | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Feb 20: Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former minister Tariq Hameed Karra has said that the National Conference has historically treated the state as a private property and the present government under its leadership is the worst even by its own standards. It is therefore no wonder that the ministers are in news only for the wrong reasons. Karra was addressing party workers at Gund Hassibhat in Batmaloo today. On this occasion district vice president Nisar Ahmed Mandoo, Zone president Noor Mohd Sheikh and other leaders were also present and spoke to the gathering. Pointing out Karra said that it was for the first time that the corruption in Abdullah family had got exposed in the background of the death of a party worker and family confidante. He said even as the government is spending all it's energies only on preventing the stink of its misdeeds from coming out they have utterly failed in it and people now are fully aware of the extent of frauds committed by its ministers and their favourites in the administration. While referring to the major initiatives taken by previous PDP- Congress government Karra said the present government had altogether abandoned all the initiatives taken by previous government and there by is punishing the people of Srinagar city for supporting NC for decades together. Karra said that the Srinagar city has reached to the point of extinction over a period of decades of NC rule when they would rule the entire state along with the city without any challenge to their anarchical authority and misgovernance and these people should consciously look into their lap that what had they done by making this city the fastest growing slum. He stressed that the people of Srinagar have the right to ask these self styled representatives about the plight of the city which NC boosts of being their political bastion. |
