Woes of people mounting due to wrong policies of coalition: PDP | Cong equally responsible for prevailing mess in state | | early times report KHOUR, Feb 20: Calling upon party workers to launch a war against National Conference led coalition regime for its failure to solve basic problems of the common masses, former member of Legislative Council and senior leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ved Mahajan today said that that present dispensation has failed on all fronts and woes of commoners have been mounting due to anti-people policies being propagated by this regime. Addressing a function in Khour area, Mahajan said that National Conference-Congress cooalition was nothing but an arrangement between two parties to brazenly enjoy the power. He said that Congress was equally responsible for the problems of people because this party was equal partner in the government. "Since January 5, 2009 when Omar Abdullah has taken over as Chief Minister of the State problems of the common masses have been increasing as one and the only aim of this dispensation is to enjoy the power without caring problems of the common masses", he observed and warned it would be proved disastrous for State the way ruling National Conference has been dishonouring verdict of the people and indulged into corrupt practices. "Omar Abdullah is repeating the same blunders which were earlier committed by his father Farooq Abdullah during his tenure as Chief Minister from 1996 to 2002", he observed and exhorted party workers to launch a war this anti-people dispensation. "Failure of the government can be gauged from the fact that farmers, employees, technocrats, unemployment youth, students have been agitating in one or other way but the government is non serious in solve their problems", he said. He called upon his party workers to educate the masses about the revolutionary steps taken by Mufti Mohammed Sayeed during his tenure as Chief Minister of the State. |
