| Tehsildar denied pre-arrest bail | | | early times report Jammu, Feb 20: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Pawan Dev Kotwal has dismissed the pre-arrest bail application filed by Subash Singh Chib then Tehsildar who involved in a case u/s 420, 465, 467, 468,471 and 120-B RPC read with Section 5 (2) PC Act. According to Crime Branch Case that he having been posted as Tehsildar Jammu entered into a criminal conspiracy with Patwari Rajinder Kumar and Jagdev Singh, Sukh Dev Singh and Shiv Dev Singh sons of Janak Singh of village Kaimk, tehsil and district Jammu and issued Fard-Inthkab of the land situated at Village Raipur Domana which had been muted u/s8 of Agrarian Reforms Act and the consequentially the appellant and concerned Patwari abused the official position and facilitated the sale of such land though alienation of the sale is prohibited Section 28-A of Agrarian Reforms Act, the applicant illegally bye-pass the Girdawar and Naib Tehsildar who were supposed to attest the fards before his counter signing and as such he misused his official position dishonestly for extraneous reasons. Court after hearing CPO Kulbushan Sharma for the Crime Branch observed that keeping in view of the nature of offences allegedly committed by the applicant and severity of punishment provided and more over role played by the applicant, Court is of the viewed that no ground much less a good ground is made by the applicant for concession of bail in anticipation and dismissed the pre-arrest bail application.
