Marwah bound passengers allege of 'taken ride' in lieu airlifting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kishtwar, Feb 20:- Despite depositing Rs 2000 airfare charges a couple of weeks ago, more than 60 stranded passengers of snow bound Marwah area including Dachhan and Warwan are yet waiting for airlifting at Kishtwar headquarter. One of the aspirants Ghulam Mohammad Kukka Sarpanch Basmeena Warw-an said that he along with several other residents of Marwah, despite assurances from the administration are waiting to go to their respective destinations, but nothing has been done in their case for last two days. He lamented the local people left with no other option except to deposit the same amount demanded from them. An unemployed youth Ashiq Hussain Malik from Dehrie village of Marwah said that he had come to Kishtwar for filling of employment form at Kishtwar. He said rued after depositing Rs 2000 as airfare, he is left with no money in his pocket but they are forced to stay in Kishtwar reason better known to authorities. Another person Nazir Ahmed Rather of Margi village, Ghulam Rasool Wani of Bhatta Warwan.too have the asme tales of woes to tell. They underlined that government should think about the redresser problem faced by the people of Marwah. They added government of Jammu and Kashmir must examine the possibility of construction of tunnel from Mattigowran to Insan and also from Chingham to Teller in Marwah. |
