| Sagote people demonstrate against police inaction | | | JAMMU JULY-31-Large number of people of Sagote village of Sunderbani today held a protest demonstration outside GMC here against the Police failure in registering a case against the accused persons.
The reports said that one Kamlesh Devi wife of late Ramesh Chander of Sagote made an abortive attempt to commit suicide on July 27 but burning herself .The cause of this extreme step is reported to be the dispute on some piece of land. The woman got severe burn injuries and was shifted to GMC where she later breathed her last. The body was later handed over to the family members.
The people protesting against the police inaction alleged that the women was in fact forced to commit suicide by three persons and the police was shielding them and evading registration of a case against them.
