| UCC bags 3rd place in JPL Tawi Cup | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Feb 21: United Cricket Club (UCC) trounced Habshi Cricket Club (HCC) by two wickets to bag third position in the Jammu Premier League (JPL) Tawi Cup for district Udhampur underway at Subash Stadium, here today.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, HCC made 99 runs for the loss of six wickets, which, in reply, UCC chased losing eight wickets.
Gurdev and Rajender were top scorers with 36 and 27 runs in their respective accounts while indrajit took two wickets from UCC.
In reply, UCC attained the target making 102 runs with two wickets in hand. Gaurav Khajuria was main contributor to the team's total with 35 runs in his account. Dheeraj Singh and Suresh took two wickets each from HCC.
Meanwhile, the final of the tournament between Amateur Cricket Club and Young Blood Cricket Club shall be played tomorrow at the same venue. |
