NIA shifts detain HM guide to Delhi for recording statement before court | Probe into Delhi High Court blast | | early times report Kishtwar Feb 21: In a significant development the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probing September 7 Delhi High Court blast last year has today shifted 26 year old detained Hizb guide Mohammad Ayoob Gujjar son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Chicha Nagsini in Kishtwar District to Delhi for recording his statement before the special Judge in Patiala Court New Delhi. According to the sources Mohammad Ayoob is a key witness to the investigating agency to prosecute the arrested accused Dr. Waseem Akram Malik. The sources said that since Ayoob who acted as a guide of the militants involved in Delhi High Court blast killing 16 and injuring to 80 others, his statement under section 164 Cr PC before the court will be a vital as far as conviction of the blast accused is concerned. The sources said that NIA had already recorded the statement of Mohammad Ayoob under Section 160 Cr Pc before the investigating agency and his statement under section 164 will give a legal immunity to NIA and case. In the event of Ayoob later back tracking from his statement will be liable to be prosecuted under law. The sources said that the statement of Mohammad Ayoob before the NIA proved the nexus between the Delhi High Court blasts accused with other accused including Amir Kamal, Junaid Akram Malik and Chota Hafiz beside with that of Pakistani militant Ghulam Sarwar and his associates. The sources said that during the course of the investigating Mohammad Ayoob spills the bean about who Dr. Waseem Akram Malik along with his Pakistani militants travelled to Palmar and Chicha to held a meeting with HM militants including his brother and carry the consignment of explosive before with the help of the Mohammad Ayoob shifted the same to Kishtwar by crossing a river Chenab in Nagsini area through cradle box. The sources that after assessing the statement of Mohammad Ayoob, who claims that he was forced by the militants on gun point and threat perception to provide logistic support to them will not be booked in Delhi High Court blast case. The sources said that NIA instead of arresting Mohammad Ayoob will produce him as a witness before the court before filling the first charge sheet against the two arrested person Dr. Waseem Akram Malik and Amir Abbas Dev. The sources said that in addition to Mohammad Ayoob Gujjar, two more Kishtwar youths were taken to Delhi for recording their statement, however their names have not been disclosed by the investigating agency. The sources said that after recording the statement of all the three witnesses, they will be taken back to Kishtwar for handing over them to their family members. |
