NC led coalition failed to provide good governance: Shahzad | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Feb 21: PDP leader Shahzad Khan has slammed the state government over its failure on all fronts in providing good governance to the people. In a workers' meeting held here under the leadership of Shahzad Khan among other issues the workers were apprised of the public rally to be held on March 3 to be addressed by PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. In a press statement issued here today, Shahzad Khan criticized the state government over its failure to provide a transparent governance to the people. He said that corruption has crossed all limits and accountability is nowhere to be seen. "The recent premature retirements of the selected few low rank officials by the government shows its hypocrisy. Why have the bigger fish left out?" he enquired. Shahzad said that no relief has been announced to the people of Rajouri and Poonch during the recent snowfall. Even where relief ration has been announced, the people are yet to recieve them. It is unfortunate that stranded people are cane charged instead of providing relief. Talking on the issues of unemployment, Khan said that the NC led government has throughout its tenures befooled the innocent youth with its flawed policies. With scam after scam surfacing, the educated youth have been rendered disillusioned and alienated. The number of educated unemployed youth is increasing each passing day and nowhere is a permanent solution and assurance is coming from the government said Shahzad. The New Recruitment Policy proposed is not only bias but bad in law too. He said that it is unfortunate that the youth are forced to venture out of the state in search of employment thanks to apathetic attitude of the government. Regarding the centrally sponsored schemes and programmes Khan said that they have been given a brutal death by the government and its agencies as nothing has been done on ground for the poor under these schemes. |
