4.6 magnitude quake rocks Kashmir | | | early times report SRINAGAR, Feb 21: An earthquake measuring 4.6 on richter scale hit Kashmir valley early this morning, forcing people to rush out of their homes despite severe cold outside. Kashmir Dis-aster Management head Amir Ali said tremors were felt at 0125 hrs. Ali said the temblor was epicentred at 285 km North West of Leh near China border in Ladakh region. There was no immediate report of loss of life or damage to property. He said this was the third temblor during the past two days at the same place. |
