KATHUA, Feb 22: Chairman of the Women Credit Cooperative (WCC) Kailash Kumari has appealed the women of Kathua to join the celebrations of Women's Day on March 8 in large numbers.
Addressing a press conference here today, Kailash Kumari said that the women of the district should come forward for the cause of upliftment and their dignity on all fronts. She said that the women is the only section which has equal share in the development of the human society but due to some flaws and loopholes in the social engineering of the human society women lot is still facing the problems of exploitation at extreme levels.
Kumari criticized a women police officer in Bihar who mercilessly beat innocent women and for her cruel and brutal act she should be punished.
She said the woman police is meant to safeguard the rights of public but non-serious and eccentric officers misuse their power to spread the terror of uniform over the innocent women.
