| Seema Kharyal elected vice-president of Tawi Trekkers | | | early times report
JAMMU, Feb 22: Seema Kharyal, a senior member of Tawi Trekkers J&K was unanimously elected as Vice President of the club in the election held in the office of the club, here today.
The post of the Vice President had fallen vacant due to the demise of Charu Nagar who had served as Vice President of the club for about 15 years.
Seema Kharyal had joined Tawi Trekkers J&K in 1991 when she was a school student. She worked in various capacities as group leader, camp leader, prog-ramme officer and organizing secretary of various trekking programmes organized by the club and is currently looking after the administrative affairs of the club. A senior state government officer, she is presently posted as Assistant Labour Commissioner, Udhampur.
Meanwhile, Sumit Khajuria, Vivek Chauhan, Rahul Sharma and Shawetica Khajuria were also unanimously elected as executive members of the club.
Yogeshwar Kumar, Vice President of Mountaineering Association of J&K was the observer. Prominent among others present on the occasion included SS Jamwal President, OP Padha, Sr Vice president, Ram Khajuria, General Secretary, Dr C.K.Khajuria Joint Secretary, Virender Magotra, Treasurer , Rajesh Gupta, Amit Khajuria, Sonam Sidharth and Mrigank Kaushal. |
