| RJMLS welcomes Taing's inclusion as Dy Chairman LC | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 23: Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society hails nomination of MY Taing as Dy Chairman Legislative Council
The nomination of renowned literature, academician a renowned Urdu and Kashmiri writer MY Taing as Dy Chairman of the prestigious J&K legislative council has been widely hailed by the members of the Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society.
In this connection a meeting of the RJMLS was today held under the chairmanship of its president Shohab Inayat Malik.
The members who participated in the meeting including Asier Kishtwari, Ravi Thakur, Payre Hatash, Hasrat Gadal, A R Manhas, Chaman Lal, Farat Shamim and Mohd Reyaz. The speakers highlighted the qualities of head and heart of M Y Taing and described him not only a writer par excellence but also a seasoned literary politician.
They said that the induction of Taing as Dy Chairman of legislative Assembly is pride for literary circle of the J&K state as Taing always raised the issue of cultural identity of J&K on the floor of legislative council.
They said that Taing's contribution for the development of Urdu and Kashmiri languages could not be ignored. He has authored dozens of books on culture, literature and civilization of J&K. the members hoped that during his tenure as Dy Chairman of legislative council the official language of the state Urdu will get its lost glory.
They thanked the former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah for nominating him for the post thus filling the long pending demand of the literary circle of J&K.
In his presidential address Shohab Inayat Malik the president of the RJMLS described Taing a legend of Urdu and Kashmiri languages.
He said that Taing is the adviser of RJMLS thus society has proud that such a legend person has been nominated for the prestigious post. Shohab said that during the secretary ship of Taing the cultural activities in J&K were tremendously boosted.
He also remained Director General Culture J&K and performed his duties efficiently. Taing according to Shohab is a symbol of Urdu and Kashmiri language in the state who had brought in light some historical prospects of cultural and literary scenario of the state through his writings.
Shohab congratulated M Y Taing for his nomination and hoped that as an experienced and renowned politician he would be definitely fruitful for the literary and cultural circle of the state. He said that Taing is also a Padam Shree as well as Shatiya Academy award winner, this shows that how much legend writer Taing is Mohd Reyaz , Sukhchain Singh and other also spoke on the occasion and hailed the nomination of M Y Taing as Dy Chairman of legislative council J&K. |
