| Omar pays tributes to departed legislators | | ASSEMBLY-2012 | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 23 : The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today paid rich tributes to 9 Legislatures of the state who passed away during intervening period of the last session of the State Legislature. The departed leaders included Syed Hussain Yashpal Khajuria, Mohammad Sarfaraz Khan, G. M. Pampori, Ghulam Rasool Kochak, Ghulam Rasool Matto, Mohammad Sultan Bhat, Mujahid Mohammad Abdullah and Bashir Ahmad Lone. While speaking in favour of the obituary references moved by Speaker Legislative Assembly Mohammad Akbar Lone in the House, Omar highlighted the contribution of these leaders in the Socio- Political and developmental fields, adding that we should get inspiration from their dedicated works which they have rendered in their life for the betterment and upliftment of the poor and downtrodden sections of the society. Omar said that these leaders have served the State in different capacities for which they will be remembered for long. |
