'Recently held 'Organizational polls' incomplete' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 23: Patwar Association J&K today held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Provincial President Salwant Singh at Revenue Training Institute Jammu in which the election for the post of Provincial President & others of Jammu were discussed and termed recent organizational poll was incomplete. As per statement issued by Abid Mughal I/C Secretary, during the meeting the members observed that electioneering held on 22nd of February 2012 during the election process the Election Authority counted the delegates & announced that total delegates were more than 2/3 of general total delegates which was compulsory for holding elections as per Constitution of Patwar Association J&K. "It is pertinent to mention here that while issuing voter slips to delegates it was found that majority required for holding elections was incomplete, the statement said and alleged that the Election Authority stressed for holding elections. The statement said as the Quorum was incomplete, one contesting candidate walked out alongwith his supporters from District Kathua while members from Rajouri, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, Kishtwar, Doda & Ramban too demanded to postpone the election process till quorum is complete The members unanimously resolved that till elections Provincial President Salwant Singh will continue on his post till elections. |
