| Mir demands funds for stadium in Rajouri | | | Jammu, Jan 19 - In all 13 members today raised issues of public importance of their respective areas during the Zero Hour in Legislative Council. Prof. Bhim Singh drew the attention of the government towards police action against JKNPP workers. Mr. N.A. Mir demanded funds for development of Stadium at Rajouri while Mr. B. A. Naaz demanded adequate funds for advertisement for daily and weekly urdu newspapers. Mr. Lal Mohammad Sabir drew the attention of the government towards scarcity of drinking water supply in some areas of Jammu city while Miss Sakina Ittoo demanded development of roads in Noorabad Constituency. Mr. Mohammad Iqbal Bhat drew the attention of government towards deaf and dumb people of Gujjar community in Darque of Doda district and demanded hospital for the area. Mrs. Farida Mir drew the attention of the government towards inconvenience of civilian by extensive checking by security forces at Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Mr. Basharat Bukhari demanded incentives for security staff of Civil Secretariat which move with annual Darbar Move. Mr. Mohammad Rashid Qureshi demanded compensation of land of Barakot area and vacation of Higher Secondary School Mendhar occupied by army while S. Arvinder Singh demanded vacation of land occupied by army in R. S. Pura. Mr. Nassarullah demanded shuttling of army flights thrice in a week for Jammu-Kargil. Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil demanded engagement of qualified doctors in rural areas while Mr. Ashok Sharma demanded introduction of Dogri, Kashmiri, Bodhi and Urdu as compulsory subjects from primary level.
