| Udhampur Police arrests two accused | | Acid Throwing Case | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur/Jammu, Feb 23: Udhampur Police achieved a major success by arresting two criminals involved in throwing acid on three persons on a personal rivalry erupted due to a matter of one sided love-affair. Manhunt is on to arrest the third accused who is evading arrest.
According to police based on a personal rivalry reportedly erupted due to self interest of main conspirator namely Rajinder Sharma@ Sonu S/o Manohar Lal R/o Radyal Samba, presently working in a Mandi at Gurgaon (UP), to marry a girl of Udhampur locality, hatched a conspiracy along with two of his associate criminals namely Arun Singh R/o Ramkote Shalain Bilawar-Kathua and Sandeep Sharma R/o Bandrai, to throw acid on one Swarn Singh S/o Bansi Lal R/o Roun Domail, Udhampur and others who were becoming hurdle in fulfilling his desire to marry that girl.
"Accordingly, on Feb 17, under well planned conspiracy all the three accused reached Udhampur pretending their visit as to attend a recruitment rally and watched the activities of victim namely Swarn Singh Udhampur and his associates whole day and laid a trap to execute their nefarious design, police said.
Further adding to it police briefed that as soon as the victim namely Swarn Singh S/o Bansi Lal R/o Roun Domail, Udhampur left for his house along with two of his associates after closing his shop at Roun Domail, one of the criminals telephonically informed main conspirator namely Rajinder Sharma about that, who chased them on way and threw acid on Swarn Singh and two of his associates Dara Singh S/o Bansi Lal R/o Roun Domail, Udhampur and Manohar Singh S/o Rajinder Singh R/o Sonail, Udhampur, causing grievous injuries to them, who were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment.
"In this regard a Case FIR No. 54/2012 u/s 307/341/326/120/RPC was registered at P/S Udhampur and a team led by Inspector Gian Chand Sharma SHO P/S Udhampur under the supervision of Master Popsy, Dy.SP Hqrs Udhampur was deputed to apprehend the criminals, police added.
"Abdul Jabbar, IPS, who recently joined district Udhampur as Addl. SP, also swung into action to nab all the criminals. Subsequently, after hectic efforts, Police party today apprehended two criminals from samba area including the main conspirator namely Rajinder Sharma and Sandeep Sharma who were planning to flee to U.P/Delhi while efforts are on to nab the third criminal, who is still at large., police added. |
