Jammu, Feb 23: In a writ petition filed by Sunil Mahajan challenging the allotment of Hall No 209 South Block Bahu Plaza in favour of Sajjad Ahmed Bhat brother of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, on the ground that the approval accorded by Minister was Chairman of the JDA for allotment.

Justice JP Singh of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Adv SS Ahmed appearing for the petitioner whereas AAG AH Qazi for the State, Advocate Adarsh Sharma and Jagg Pal Singh for the JDA and respondents asked the Commissioner/ Secre-tary General Adminis-tration Dept to file detailed affidavit indicating action taken by the State Govt pursuant to the judgment delivered by High Court in the batch of writ petitions on June 1, 2009. As non-appe-arance for Sajjad Ahmed Bhat, Court ordered Regis-try that a fresh notice shall be issued to him to file response to the writ petition and to show cause as to why the allotment challenged in the writ petition be not quashed. Court observed that in view of the reported in action of the State Govt on the illegal allotments of Shops/Halls at Bhau Plaza Jammu, the State Govt is required to file action taken report on the illegal allotments made by the JDA and asked the Commissioner/ Secretary GAD to file detailed affidavit.
