3 bovine smugglers arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 23: Continuing with its special drive against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police today arrested three bovine smugglers who were transporting four bovines clandestinely in a cruel way in a truck carrying FCI ration for Kashmir valley and rescued bovines from their clutches. Three bovine smugglers identified namely as Mohammad Amin R/O Kupwara; Mohd Shamim R/O Budgam and Mohd Ashraf R/O Budgam Police, police said. Police added that during naka duty, Head Constable Mahatama Sharma Incharge Nakka Katra Domail-NHW under the supervision of SHO Jhajjar Kotli and SDPO Nagrota stopped a Truck bearing registration no. JK02J-9691 for checking and subjected it to thorough search upon suspicion. Police recovered four animals being smuggled in a cruel way in the said truck hidden behind the bags of wheat loaded in it. The three smugglers were arrested by the Jhajjar Kotli Police Party and a case FIR No. 16/2012 U/S 188 RPC/3 PCA Act stands registered at P/S Jhajjar Kotli and further investigating is going on. |
