JAMMU, Feb 23: The enforcement staff of Drug & Food Control Organi-zation has suspended licenses of various firms includes M/s Sanjay Medical Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, M/s Human Health Care Medi-cos, Bhagwati Nagar, M/s Samanya Me-dicate, Bhag-wati Nagar, M/s HealthCare Medicos, Resham Ghar Colony, Jammu, M/s Varin-der Medicos, Resham Ghar Colony, Jammu, M/s Maha-kali Medical Hall, Canal Road, Jammu, M/s Apple Pharma, Canal Road, Jam-mu Jammu, M/s Apple Pha-rma, City Chowk, Jammu, M/s Ashoka Chemists, Shal-amar Chowk, Jammu, M/s Maruti Medical Stores, Bik-ram Chowk and M/s Anil Medicos, Shalamar Road, Jammu. The licenses have been suspended for not maintaining sale records of drugs containing habit forming ingredients as per provisions of the Drug & Cosm-etic Act, 1940 & Rules.
The drive was conducted under the supervision of Mtr. Farida Parveen, Assis-tant Controller Drugs.
Lotika Khajuria, Deputy Controller, Drugs & Food, Jammu has stressed upon the need to follow the mandate of law particularly with respect to sale of drugs containing psychotropic substances.
She has directed the trade fraternity to adhere to the conditions of licenses granted in their favour under the provisions of aforesaid Act & Rules. |
