Involvement of youth for strengthening the pillars of peace imperative: Prof. Chib | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 23: While inaugurating 3-day camp of Scouts and Guides at Katra, the Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Prof. R. S. Chib emphasized for massive involvement of youth by strengthening the pillars of peace not only in our state but in entire country. While appreciating Scouts movement which is one of the prestigious would wide movement, he said it is through the activity of Scouts and Guides which can visualize a better future. He advised the organization of Scout and Guides to play a vital role in shaping the personalities of our budding youth. He said that youth camps provide opportunities to our new generations to interact with each other and also help in mutual integration. He said that under the banners of Scouts and Guides activities, the youth of the state can come together in a loveable atmosphere and can realize the vision of one society. As many as 200 Scouts and Guides and 40 instructors from across the state are participating in the three day meet. During the meet the Scouts and Guides would be taught traits of leadership, character building and basic principles to be followed in day to day life for becoming responsible citizens. On this occasion, various Scouts and Guides of Bharat Scouts presented Guard of Honour to the Minister and accorded warm reception to him. They also informed him about the preparations made for Raj Purskar. |
