Tapps Damana celebrates colourful Annual Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 23: Tiger Army Pre Primary School (TAPPS) Damana celebrated a colourful Annual Day on Wednesday. The event began with the presentation of the annual report by the Principal, Monica Anand. Before this the customary lamp was lit by Brig SA Rehman, Commander Damana Brigade and Patron of the School. What followed were a myriad of colourful songs and plays performed by the Tiny Tots. Saraswati Vandana was followed by Sha -La - La in which the audience was regaled by a wonderful dance and song performance by the little artistes. To highlight the importance of wild life in our existence Jungle - Ka - Safar found the tiny tots dressed up as lion, bear and even an elephant and even acting like them. The message of communal harmony found ample resonance in Jhanki Hindustan Ki which also brought out the unity in diversity of India. The tiny tots also enthralled their audience with the Giddha from Punjab and qawaali in true Lakhnawi style. Such was the verve and enthusiasm of the Tiny Tots that they pulled the Patron himself to the stage for a jig with them in the Qawwali. The Annual Day function was also attended by the parents of the tiny tots making it a total gathering of about 600 in the audience. Prizes were distributed to meritorious students by the Patron. The Patron in his closing address appreciated the efforts of the staff of the school for the high standard of the school and for the excellent show during the Annual Day Function. He also stated that it takes the Tiny Tots, their teachers and the parents contribution to achieve excellence in the School. The function was brought to a close with singing of the National Anthem which was followed by refreshments for all members of the audience. |
