| District boxing meet begins | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 24: Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Boxing Association, the Jammu district championship got underway at boxing ring of MA Stadium, here today. On the opening day, bouts took place in preliminary rounds in different weight categories of boys. As per the organizers, Sunny Chib and Pardeep Sharma qualified for the final of Light Fly weight categories. In the semifinals played today, Sunny beat Akash Sharma while Pardeep Sharma outplayed Anil Choudhary. Meanwhile, according to the organizers, the finals and prize distribution function of the championship shall take place tomorrow. |
