| Congress, party of opportunists, coalition Talibanizes J&K-Khajuria | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb24; Hitting hard at coalition government in the state, BJP legislator Ashoke Khajuria blamed Congress of being opportunistic who some times sit with Mufti Muhammad Sayed and sometimes with Omar Abdullah. Raising the issue of refugees of Wes Pakistan while speaking on Motion of Thanks on governor's address, Khajuria said that Congress was forcing BJP to demand separate statehood as the party was sacrificing the interests f the people f Jammu for lust of power.
"We have sacrificed our great hero Shama Prasad Mukherji for united Jammu and Kashmir but Congress was forcing us to demand separation from Kashmir" said Khajuria. However, Congress MLAs Ab. Majid Wani and G M Saroori stood up from their seats and shouted at Khajuria for his "irresponsible remarks" On "Kashmir was being Talibanized by the coalition government", National Conference MLAs Nazir Ahmad Gurezi and Mir Saifullah too joined Wani and Saroori and blamed BJP for communalizing the house. " We are Muslims and we are proud for being so, don't communalize the house, we ill never allow you to do so, entire Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are united and we will not allow anyone disturb the secular character of the state" shouted Gurezi. . |
