| Corruption charges against Sheikh family | | JKNPP to mobilize nation against Coalition Govt | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 24: The coalition government has lost its moral, political as well as constitutional right to govern the state on the grounds that every Minister in the government including the Chief Minister has been charged by one agency or another for corruption, criminal acts, conspiracies, land grabbing and even for alleged murders. This was stated by a spokesman of the Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) here today.
The spokesman leveled accusations of land grab, misappropriation of public funds and murder against the Sheikh family. Giving details, the spokesman said: "Chief Minister cannot wash his bloody hands of the charges of the custodial death of Yusuf Haji under mysterious circumstances. The Supreme Court has fixed the case for hearing on 20th July 2012. "Rs 1.18 crore have been swallowed by the father and the son which is on record. There is need of independent enquiry which is possible only when father and the son are prosecuted after removal from their present positions", he said. The PP also made a mention of the Red Book which was published a few decades ago showing how 12 kannals of Prime Land were grabbed by the Sher-e-Kashmir and his family. "This is unparallel case of corruption and a PIL is being moved", he said.
He also accused the Chief Minister of spending crores of rupees (public money) for the construction of private house of the Chief Minister. "The Chief Minister is still occupying 7 -Akbar road as his official resident in Delhi when he is a Chief Minister in J&K."
According to the spokesman some Ministers have smuggled money into Gulf countries and purchased huge mansions there which requires immediate action. "The Ministers have managed to get stay order from the High Court by misrepresentation of facts to avoid prosecution into their criminal and illegal acts of omissions and commissions", he said.
The spokesman said the State government was providing special high grade security, security vehicles, fuel and other expenses to the inmates of 7-Akbar road. "Besides, the Union Health Minister has been provided four security vehicles, security infrastructure and other facilities by the government of J&K which is a fraud on the constitution and robbery on the state exchequer. Similarly, all those facilities, financial assistance and security infrastructure is provided to the present Renewable Energy Union Minister, Dr. Farooq Abdullah. Thus state is spending more than 10 crores rupees every month for the luxuries of the two Union Ministers, one is father of the Chief Minister and another an ally in the state government holding crutches of the Chief Minister." The JKNPP shall mobilize the entire nation, MPs, State Legislators, Youth, students and all other members of the civil society in support of its Agenda for the dismissal of the present government, promulgation Governor Rule and reorganization of the state. That is the only solution to restore peace with dignity and justice in J&K. |
