JAMMU, Feb 25: BJP national executive member & Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria, alongwith Jammu Mahanagar District President Rajesh Gupta and Shiv Kumar Arora, got the work for lying of water pipe started in Kucha Harnaam Singh of W.No 1 in presence of large number local residents.
Ashok Khajuria said that the people of the area were facing problems due to shortage of drinking water.
The old pipes of less width were not serving the purpose and as such needed to be replaced with those having larger width as it has to fulfill the demand of the more population.
He said that besides regular and adequate supply of drinking water, there are few other basic necessities for which continues efforts have been made and it is indeed a matter of satisfaction that maximum areas of Jammu East Assembly Constituency are enjoying the same.
Ashok Khajuria said that the Jammu East Constituency houses the areas which are the oldest and the water pipes, electricity poles and wires are not in good condition as a result of which the people are made to suffer.
While new pipes and poles are being installed, simultaneously old ones are being also replaced. He said that the departments like PHE and PDD have been repeatedly asked to ensure regular supply of water and electricity, as a result of which the people are availing these basic facilities.
Besides senior officials of PHE including Sanjeev Gupta and Amit Mishra, a number of BJP leaders including Karan Singh, Naresh Abrol, Dalip Gupta, Shashi Sapolia, Par Lengeh, Neetu Gupta, Raju Khajuria, Vijay Mahajan, Tarseem Jain, Sat Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Vishal Mangotra, Arun Sethi, Varun, Khem Raj Sethi, S. Surinder Singh, Lali Shah, Vinod Kumar, Baldev Raj Gandotra, Ravi Kumar, Master Mohan Lal, Vijay Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, S. Parminder, Amit Arora and other were present on the occasion |
