| Symposium organised by RS Pura police | | | JAMMU, Feb 25 : A symposium on the topic" The Role of Civil Society in Combating Crime" was organized in Government Degree College, R S Pura by the J&K Police Department under the directions of Prabhat Singh, IPS, SSP Jammu, which was attended by Shailender Singh, SP Hqrs Jammu, S.S.Sambyal, SDPO R.S.Pura and S.Paramjeet Singh, SHO P/S R.S.Pura. The main aim of the symposium was to make aware the student community about their role & responsibility in making the society crime free. The students of the College participated in the symposium quite enthusiastically. The staff and the students appreciated the move of Police and informed that such events should be held more regularly.
Principal GDC, R.S.Pura, was the Chief Guest on the occasion, whereas Tehsildar R.S.Pura was the Guest of Honour. The jury members were Professor Amit Pal Kour, Dr. Parminder Kour and Inspr. Deshbir Singh.
The first prize was clinched by Gourav of B.Sc II, the second prize went to Shanker of B.A III and the third prize was awarded to Sapna Soodan of B.A III. |
