| Western Command Inter-Area Hockey Tourney concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 25: Inter Area Hockey Championship of Western Air Command, Indian Air Force concluded at KK Hakhu, Astroturf Stadium, here. The championship was conducted by Air Force Station, Jammu at February 21 to Feb 24.The championship was declared open by Air Commodore Nitin Sathe, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station, Jammu. Four team including Jammu Area team participated in the championship. The championship was conducted on league cum knockout basis. The championship was played with full enthusiasm. The game played during the championship was of very high quality. Throughout the meet, the show of talents in a healthy competitive atmosphere was witnessed. Also it was a good opportunity for the Air Warriors to expose their skills. The championship was culminated with the final between Pathankot Area and Hindon Area on 24 Feb 12.
The winner of the championship was Air force station Hindon. The coaching camp for the Western Air Command Hockey team for participating in forthcoming Air Force Hockey championship also will be conducted at Jammu. Western Air Command Hockey team will be trained under the able coaching by Master Warrant Officer Satvir Singh, NIS. |
