| Dir Law Enft. APD stresses for quality inputs | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 25: Director Law Enforcement Agriculture Production Department, V K Bhakhri chaired a review meeting of the officers of enforcement wing of Jammu today at Krishi Bhawan Talab Tillo Jammu.
While reviewing the physical achievements of various districts the Director emphasized on all the participating officers to gear up their field activities and keep close vigil on various Agriculture Inputs being distributed to the farmers at sale outlets.
The Director stressed upon the officers to ensure that quality agriculture inputs are distributed to the farmers and all such defaulters at the level of retailer's whole sale suppliers and manufacturers etc are booked under relevant Acts, rules and orders of seeds, pesticides and fertilizers. He directed the officers that in light of instructions conveyed by Agriculture Minister G H Mir the necessary inspections and samplings be jointly perused vigorously in order to curb the spurious/non-standard Agriculture Inputs in the coming sowing season so that quality Agriculture Inputs are made available to the farmers. The drive needs to be undertaken jointly by the officers of the enforcement wing.
The instructions with regard to expeditious lifting of chemicals fertilizer at rail head complex and its earmarked distribution as already conveyed by Ajay Khajuria Controller of Fertilizer needs to be supervised by the concerned officers on priority and their earmarked distribution.
In addition to this the officers deployed at Lakhanpur entry point were particularly directed by Bhakhri to be more vigilant and in no case any spurious PP chemicals or un-notified seeds should be allowed to enter the state. |
