Jammu, Feb 25: The NAAC Peer Team visited Taawish college of Education, Channi Rama, Jammu. The three-member Peer Team was headed by Professor R S Mali, (Former Vice-Chancellor North Maharashtra University), Dr. A. SomashekaraMurty, Professor and Principal, Dr. Ambedkar College of Education, Prof. D. Kumaran, Former Professor of education, University of Madras was the other member. This was informed in a press note issued by Raman Arora, Coordinator, Steering Committee. During their two-day visit the Peer Team visited all the departments, classrooms, laboratories, library, NSS office, hostels, and other facilities of the college. Besides meeting the teachers, staff and students separately they also held interactions with the Advisory Committee, Alumni Association, Parent Teacher Association, NAAC members also held luncheon meet with Board of Management. The Peer Team visit was mainly to validate the Self Study Report that was submitted to the NAAC office, Bangalore. The Exit meeting was held in the college Hall. The report of the Peer Team was formally presented to Dr. Raj Kumar, Principal, Raman Arora, Coordinator, Steering Committee in the presence of the Chairperson, Director, teaching faculty, staff, and students of Taawish college of Education. Vote of thanks was presented by Raman Arora, Coordinator Steering committee. |
