NIA releases HM "guide", 2 others | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Feb 25: National Investigating Age-ncy (NIA), probing the Sep-tember 7 blast outside Delhi high court, that killed 16 and injured 80 others, last night released Hizb guide Mohammad Ayoob Gujjar, son of Bashir Ahmed of Chicha Nagsini, Kishtwar, and two others. Ayoob was released after his statement was recorded under section 164 of CrPC before Patiala court in New Delhi where the trial of the blast victims was presently underway. Sources said after shifting Ayoob to Delhi, NIA took him to the court and recorded his statement before the special NIA judge. Besides Ayoob, two other youth of Kishtwar, who too were picked up by NIA, were also released after they recorded their statements before senior NIA officers in Delhi. Sources said the mobile numbers of the two youths were traced from the call details of the accused Wasim Akram Malik, who was presently in Tihar jail for his alleged role in the blast. Ayoob's statement was vital for NIA to establish the link between Malik and other HM militants who were on the run in Marwah area of Kishtwar. NIA has also announced huge cash rewards on 3 HM militants who were presently hiding in the mountains of Marwah and Dachhan. |
