PHE employees stage protest, highlight demands

Jammu, Feb 25: A large number of PHE Employees and Workers under the chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma, President INTUC J&K State and also President of Water Works (PEE) Employees Assoc-iation Jammu Province asse-mbled at Chief Engineer, Office BC Road, Jammu and staged protest in support of their pending demands.
Raisings slogans against the state government and concerned authorities, the protestors highlighted their long pending demands which yet have not mitigated with.
Speaking on the occasion Shiv Kumar Sharma alleged that CP Worker/Daily Wages have been putting more than 17 years service in the department have not been regularized.
Highlighting demands of employees, he said association demands regularization of those who have completed their 7 years service of Daily Wages and enhance daily at Rs 250 per day be paid to all the daily Wages. Speakers also demanded DPCs should be conducted immediately, Increase in retirement age by two years like the other states and rational transfer policy especially for Class IV.
Shiv Kumar Sharma INTUC President Jammu & Kashmir appealed to all the State Employees that the country wide strike call given by Centre trade unions as on February 28. The employees are assembled at Press Club at 10 AM and their after they move to Rally Press club to Indira Chowk and high lighted the demands of the employees.
He said that Vinod Kumar, Raman Kumar, Charnjeet Singh, Vijay Luthra, Som Nath, Munshi Ram, Aljun Singh, Surinder Singh, Radhya Shyam, Madan Lal and Mangal Dass, Joginder Kumar Abdul Hameed.
