JAMMU , Feb 26: Massive protest demonstration was held today led by Sunil Dimple president Jammu west assembly movement to oppose the coming Jammu municipal corporation election, discrimination by the Government in the unequal delimitation of ULBs and corporation wards in which 10 wards included in SMC and none in the JMC and against the rising corruption in the state. The protestants raised the slogans against the "coalition Government" for this discrimination with the Jammu region. The Protestants were also demanding for holding the "fresh election of the west assembly constituency" as the MLA of the constituency has been expelled by the party. Addressing the protestants Sunil Dimple demanded the Governor N N VOHRA to " Defer the JMC election". He warn ed the people to boycott the JMC election. Dimple demanded governor to hold the immediate fresh election of the Jammu west Assembly constituency as the MLA of the constituency has been expelled from the party, after the cross voting by the MLAs . He appealed all the organization leaders not to participate the JMC election till proper ground work for the free and fair election is done. Sunil dimple alleged that the Corruption in the state is at the peak and all the cabinet ministry is full of tented corrupt ministers. He appealed the chief minister Omar Abdulla for the "reshuffle in his cabinet ministry" as three years of his Government are complete. Dimple demanded the immediate bifurcation of Jammu west assembly constituency into two 2, assembly segments and for the grant of the "District status" to the Jammu west constituency keeping in view the population, voters and areas of the constituency. |
